Set challenges - your tasks:

  • You create machine learning models, including data preparation, exploration and visualization of the data, training models and evaluating and interpreting the results in the context of the question, you also carry out statistical analyzes and generate data-driven insights.

  • You integrate created models into the operationalization platform and their lifecycle management in close cooperation with the data engineers.

  • You prepare structured and unstructured data, including feature engineering and use of the available tools/interfaces for data access.

  • You develop code for creating models and analyses, preferably in Python, and use common software development tools (e.g. Azure DevOps and Git).

  • You plan project goals taking into account the objectives, deadlines and budgets in coordination with the affected departments and IT departments.

  • You advise internal customers, design end-to-end solutions and maintain regular exchanges about demands, including the documentation of project results.

  • You are responsible for project management including technical control of project staff (internal and external) using agile methods and performance acceptance.

  • You plan, implement and integrate (actively and passively) Adv. Analytics applications and services into the existing IT architecture (esp. Micro-Services, Docker, Kubernetes).

Shaping the future - your profile:

  • You have a university degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry or a comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on data science.
  • You have several years of professional experience in the field of data science and machine learning as well as experience in the preparation, exploration, interpretation and visualization of data.

  • You have deep knowledge and experience in the application of mathematical methods in the advanced analytics environment.

  • Good knowledge of Python (possibly also Matlab or R) and ideally experience with collaborative software development (e.g. DevOps / Git), preferably knowledge of modern software architectures (Micro-Services, Docker, Kubernetes) round off your profile.

  • Ideally, you will have experience with methods and tools for accessing and processing structured and unstructured data sources.

  • You impress with an independent way of working, good teamwork coupled with assertiveness and goal-oriented planning and action.

  • In addition, you have good communication skills (oral & written) in German and English.
