This role will strengthen the impact of and provides recommendations on, business information that will need to be available and shared consistently across the organization through the identification, definition, and analysis of how information assets to aid strategies and business outcomes. The owner of the role is responsible for discovering the data and analytics requirements for information for the u-blox use cases.
The BI and Data Architect will lead the creation, design, and build of a business intelligence and big data analytics architecture, that is aimed at delivering key insights in an effective, automated, and reliable way. The role will be responsible for the development of the future BI Solution, while also managing the current running solutions in close collaboration with the business stakeholders and external suppliers.
The BI and Data Architect will lead a team of data engineers and data analysts and will report to the Head of Applications.

- Maximize value derived from data and analytics.
- Accountable for steering the design, development, integration, and customization of the big-data analytics architecture.
- Accountable for the implementation and maintenance of the global BI tool and architecture.
- Enable effective data and analytics governance.
- Self-driving, proactive, with a can-do attitude and experienced managing teams (3-6 people.)
- Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, electronic engineering, or equivalent education.
- Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in big data (data lake and data warehouse architectures), Business Intelligence solutions, master data management (MDM), and design and implementation techniques in an IT context, with the ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
- Hands-on experience with implementing big data and analytics management cloud solutions in Amazon AWS.
- Experience working with different AWS/cloud native technologies like S3, Redshift, Athena, EMR, RDS, EC2, Lambda, Step function and cloud formation templates.
- Strong experience with Amazon Quicksight or using Power BI or Tableau with the AWS Cloud.
- Knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices (both SQL and NoSQL), along with Data Quality and Data Concepts.
- Business acumen, and excellent ability to communicate and present clear thinking on all levels.
- Data modeling and information classification expertise.
- Experience with distributed management and analytics in the cloud and hybrid environments.
- Understanding of a variety of data access and analytics approaches (for example, microservices and event-based architectures).
- Certifications in AWS Data (AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Big Data Specialty, AWS AI/ML Specialty).
- Previous experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Experience with Agile methodologies/DevOps environment.
