Tasks and Qualifications:

Job description:

  • In your role as a data scientist, you will acquire, manage and analyze large image data sets from our customers

  • In addition, you define scenarios and edge cases, environments and processes for the acquisition of new data, which our service network will implement for our customers

  • You are also responsible for selecting training, validation and benchmark data sets for deep neural networks for image processing and making them available to the development departments of the entire KION Group

  • You develop automation solutions for filtering or annotating large amounts of data on our own KION-wide AI pipeline

  • You work closely with other departments across all KION brands and several external partners to oversee and ensure data annotations.

Qualifications:

  • You should have a university degree with a technical orientation, preferably in computer science, statistics, physics, mathematics, robotics or similar.

  • You should have skills and experience in the methods and applications of data analysis, especially image data and artificial intelligence. Points of contact with machine learning would be desirable here

  • You should have skills to manage, process and analyze large complex data sets

  • You have a passion for material handling and logistics

  • You bring experience in the languages ​​Python, Jupyter Notebook or similar and have strong communication skills to build a network, both in the research context and with technology providers
