Job Description

The Role:
This position is part of Moderna’s Manufacturing Science and Technology team responsible for technical support of GMP operations in international sites. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for using data analytics, data intelligence, data modelling, visualization and statistical techniques and tools to enable to support MST activities across the department. This includes using data analytics to assist in investigations, to monitor process performance, and to improve manufacturing processes. This position will also assist on automation projects to ensure successful implementation of digital information during technology transfer of Moderna manufacturing processes. The role will collaborate closely with internal functions and external parties (affiliated Contract Testing Organizations (CTOs)/Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMOs)) to standardize data collection and to deliver value for the organization through insights.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Automate, visualize, and analyze QC data and metrics, identify trends and patterns in the data. Analyze causality, formulate improvement proposals, and convert the insights with business teams to actions, and plans, to gain measurable business improvements.
Represent MST with Digital, Operations, and Technical Development teams as a subject matter expert (SME) on manufacturing data analytics. Subject matter expertise on statistical best practices
Contribute to our process data management and overall knowledge management strategy.
Complete data analyses in support of operational questions and investigations.
Create or modify automation methods (scripts) and implement for introduction of new processes into operations.
Assist teams with design of experiments and data analysis models to advance understanding of technical issues or advance improvement opportunities in Operations.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
MS or equivalent in a scientific, engineering or mathematical discipline with 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Ph.D level with 0+ years’ experience. BS applicants with 8+ years’ relevant experience will also be considered.
Expertise in creating statistical analysis models using JMP® or STATISTICA . Use of statistical programs for DOE analyses, multivariate analysis, and statistical process control.
Prior experience working in a GMP environment.
Technical agility. The capability to manage, and work with, diverse technical teams.
The ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.
Preferred: Prior experience with DP operations and/or and Laboratory Instruments
