Connectivity, autonomous driving, car sharing and electrification are changing our mobility. There will be more changes in the next 10 years than in the last 100 years combined. Our newly created Data & Advanced Analytics department accompanies this change using innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, Monte Carlo simulations, optimization algorithms and RPA. AMAG has a unique wealth of data relating to the ecosystem of individual mobility in Switzerland - with data from vehicle sales, leasing, garages, rental cars and car sharing. We use this wealth of data to automate processes with artificial intelligence and machine learning and to generate new insights - as a basis for better business decisions.
Data science - when successfully implemented - is more than running data through an algorithm. It is important to identify the right use cases, to manage stakeholders and projects, to act with common sense and to drive change with a visionary mind.

As a senior data scientist & consultant, you ensure the success of the data science projects - as a project manager, statistics sparring partner - and as a data science coder.

Data Science Management (50%)

• Collaborate with stakeholders from across the AMAG Group to identify potential for data-driven services that help optimize processes, customer experience and informed business decisions
• Technological and professional advice to stakeholders regarding the development of new, strategic, data-driven business models
• Holistic support for data science projects, from idea development and business case evaluation to implementation and roll-out in the departments
• Interface management to related departments, such as data strategy, agile transformation, architecture, MLOps

Data Science Coding (50%)

• Translation of business challenges into data science issues
• Exploratory data analysis, with internal data from all areas of the value chain (structured and unstructured) and also external data sources
• Conducting root cause analyses
• Application and development of machine learning algorithms
• Preparation of the analytical results for different groups of recipients (e.g. various visualizations, management decision templates, technical basis for discussion)

• Completed degree in (business) computer science, (business) physics, (business) mathematics, business administration, economics or similar, ideally with a doctorate
• Sound knowledge of statistics, stochastics, machine learning algorithms (deep learning)
• Good coding skills in R (data table, ggplot2, h2o, dplyr) or Python (numpy, pandas, tensor flow, scikit learn) as well as SQL in the areas of data wrangling, machine learning and visualization
• General IT understanding
• Experience in stakeholder and project management

• Very good communication skills
