We are looking for a person with a high data affinity coupled with a solid understanding of Finance concepts. Act as our Business Intelligence (BI) expert and data owner to the Global Product Group (GPG) Service and Group Controlling. You actively contribute to the enhancement of our BI landscape aiming to support effective business decisions and accurate reporting. In your role you will be part of the Service Business Controlling and Commercial Management team, reporting to the Global Product Group Controller & Commercial Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • BI-savvy business partner and data owner, interfacing between Business and Group Controlling, IT/IS, Product Development and Sales.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality and robust data taxonomies, financial models, algorithms, and related processes to further enhance our BW/BI ecosystem enabling sound financial decision-making.
  • Provide business intelligence, analytics, fit-for-purpose reporting, planning, forecasting, and performance management tools to support the organization in achieving its goals.
  • Actively contribute to the definition of appropriate internal/external data resources and rules as well as the design of reusable data objects. Definition and implementation of data transformation and data derivation logics.
  • Reduction of data risk exposure by ensuring data platform ability to acquire, store, transform, move, and use data assets according to golden rules.
  • Work closely with solution/technical architects to deliver data architecture artifacts.
  • Drive the definition, implementation, and adherence of Group-wide data quality and security stand
  • ards and KPIs by active testing as well as maintenance and access management.
  • Contribution to ad-hoc analytics requests and active involvement in BI projects. Establish and develop further a growing BI power user community by executing regular training and knowledge transfer sessions.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data/Computer Science, or IT.
  • Data-driven with an understanding of business intelligence and analytics topics, controlling/accounting concepts, and related tools.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in a similar position with exposure to business intelligence and Finance, preferably in an international environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and working experience with SAP (SAC, FI/CO, S4H, BW) and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience in data modeling desired.
  • Proactive problem-solving data analyst/architect with a business mindset.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus).
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Predictive analytics with Phyton (desired not essential).
