CONTEXT

Richemont is advancing in its strong pioneering ambition to transform its business model towards New Retail. The group is pursuing its strong development into the digitization of its commerce value chain, relying on the strategic partnerships with Alibaba Group and Farfetch.

Data is at the heart of this transformation strategy and the Group is building advanced cloud data platforms to share trusted data assets across its Maisons and entities helping them improve decision making processes and deliver new data projects.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

As a Data Catalog Analyst, you will be a key contributor to the Data Catalog project and help our community of data owners and consumers maintain the documentation of our critical data and help maximize the value of the assets stored in our data platforms.

The Data Catalog is a key enabler of our data strategy that is used as a one-stop-shop by community to understand all data which are internally available for reuse by Maisons and all entities.

You will work with the Data Office team, Data Domain Leads, the community of Data Owners and Data Stewards at Group and Maisons level, and Group Tech.

You will contribute to data foundations projects, and support data definition alignment, data modeling activities and contribute to facilitate access to our data assets.

Reporting to the Data Product Project Manager, you will:

  • Connect with business and technical stakeholders to understand the data and meta data landscape in source systems feeding the data platforms
  • Support assessment and execution of new data documentation use cases in the Data Catalog
  • Collaborate with the data community and support data owners and stewards to maintain the functional and technical documentation in the Data Catalog including:
    • Business glossary definitions
    • Datasets tables and fields definition
    • Data classification
    • Data lineage with source systems
  • Support the definition, development and execution of Data Catalog operational processes such as:
    • Integration with new sources / new projects
    • Metadata maintenance automation
    • Reporting and metrics on the health of the Data Catalog
  • Document configuration and implementation of the Richemont Group data meta model.
  • Participate in the Data Catalog product development and the implementation of new product features with Group Tech
  • Develop internal training material for the users of the Data Catalog
  • Support the users of the Data Catalog in operating the solution

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCESS WITH US?

  • Graduated from Engineering or Business School (Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or similar)
  • Good understanding of data and related technology (data base, data lake, data warehouse)
  • A first experience in a data related role (such as metadata management, data modeling, data documentation, reporting) is a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build trusted relationships within the team and across the organization.
  • Commitment, dedication and drive
  • Good sense of quality and pragmatism at the same time
  • Creativity and analytical thinking, ability to break down complex tasks
  • Demonstrated willingness to seek new knowledge, applying new knowledge to work activities and responsibilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Fluent English is mandatory for this role. French is a plus.
  • Luxury or retail business know-how is a plus.
