Mission

Support and drive the development of UBP's Group Internal Audit (GIA) data analytics capacities and framework.

Challenges

Based in Geneva, the role requires to quickly understand complex business processes, leverage data to generate insights, and build compelling visual representations and charts. The role requires a positive and pragmatic attitude, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and curiosity for understanding strategic issues and business models.

Main responsabilities

As part of a team of two, you will be reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit. Your responsibilities will include:

Operationally drive the continuous improvement of GIA’s analytics competences;
Perform initial analyses of new audit analytics requirements and assess feasibility;
Develop, document, maintain and enhance the team’s analytics tools;
Explore, document, and procure data sources for GIA’s work, with the objective to enable GIA to work as autonomously as possible;
Perform data extractions and ensure completeness of accuracy of the data provided;
Implement the automation of analytics tools, including the establishment of database connections or workarounds;
Liaise with IT, data owners and other data analysts and build good working relationships;
Visualize results to convey key messages to senior stakeholders;
Work with audit team members to support their analytics work;
Ensure proper reporting;
Provide training and support to the audit team on the data analytics tools.

Education

  • Education: Master Degree
  • Certification: Master in Information Technology, Management, Science, Engineering or a similar field;
  • Technical skills: SQL, Python and/or VBA
  • IT Tools: Excel, PowerBI and Business Objects

Experience

  • Years of experience: 3-7 : intermediate
  • Experience required: Data analytics and profiling skills, visual presentation and communication of results, working with databases. Experience in audit is a plus.
  • Experience in private banking: Optional

Language

  • English: Fluent
  • French: Fluent

Personal skills

  • Swiss resident: Mandatory
