Job Description

We are opening a Product Marketing Program Manager role in our Gastrointestinal & Hepatology division (GIH) Western European HQ team, where you will have the opportunity to launch disruptive AI based innovations that aim to create a new market in the GI field.


The digestive category has the second highest level of new cancer cases — and the second highest number of deaths. Medtronic’s Gastrointestinal & Hepatology division (GIH) is committed to caring for the large, diverse population of Gastrointestinal (GI) patients with products to support them across the continuum of care.

GIH is currently in an expansive and transformational process in which we are continuously offering multiple innovative products in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy.

We are looking to hire a Product Marketing Program Manager to join our Western Europe (WE) Marketing Organization who will lead all marketing efforts for our Gi Genius intellilgent endoscopy module: the first commercially available computer-aided detection system that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to identify colon polyps during a colonoscopy. This position can be based anywhere across the WE region.

A Day in The Life

You will develop effective strategies and lead the launch of an innovation pipeline, with objective to create and nurture the market for the disruptive AI technology within the GI field.

Your responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

You will identify market opportunity & barriers to entry.

You will work with cross-functional team to deliver effective strategies and programs to overcome key identified market adoption barriers

Contribute to and influence the clinical evidence strategy and dissemination tactics

Develop a segmentation strategy to identify and target the right markets for new product launches and expansions

Develop & launch insights based value propositions, supported by effective & qualified marketing toolkits and omni-channel communication plans

Lead new product launches to develop this new market

Setup tracking dashboards with leading & lagging KPIs, supported by quarter business analysis.

Work with stake holders to deliver accurate demand forecast through the integrated business planning process

Serve as technical expert, demonstrating products/service, providing T&E, inservice or tradeshow support and troubleshooting product issues

Train, develop & educate local market developers on selling the therapy and on key market development skills

Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) & society partnerships as well as develop new KOLs to drive a top-down approach to market adoption

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Experience in working collaboratively across many functions within the organization to develop comprehensive market development strategies

Experience in launching disruptive innovations that leverage emerging trends in healthcare e.g. including artificial intelligence and cloud technology

Strong customer facing skills and notable executive presence coupled with the ability to design solutions at all levels from medical department and purchasing to C-suite

Strong commercial acumen evidenced by experience of working with or within healthcare ( >5 years Marketing & Market Development Experience)

Strong project management orientation with the ability to prioritize and manage a complex list of projects to completion

Bachelor or master’s degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering

Fluent in English and at least 1 other European language

Up to 40% travel required in Western Europe

Nice to Have

Experienced working with gastrointestinal physicians is mandatory.
