In Category Mid-Receiver Units, we source and operate logistical units, predominantly located close to suppliers, which consolidate small shipments to full loads, at the right place, at the right time and at the right cost. We work within one of the most dynamic area of logistics, one in which innovation and technology advances force us to continuously get better. To support and develop further our business, we are currently looking for a Category Operations Leader to join our team in Pratteln, Switzerland.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to help us to be leaders in delivering excellent performance, proudly serving happy IKEA customers. Our team’s objective is to design and implement warehousing solutions and strategies with focus on total supply chain cost whilst fulfilling defined service levels related to logistics capacity, operational excellence, and sustainability. As a Category Operations Leader you will lead and participate in strategic and tactical development initiatives and projects to secure the business objectives according to the relevant IKEA strategic direction and Category Mid-Receiver Unit’s business plan. You will provide intelligence and technical support, as well as quality standards governing the sourcing, development and execution of contracts and services. Furthermore, you will contribute to the total value chain (cost out agenda) by leading the operations and competence development in the Category in all respects. You will have a global assignment focusing on the Logistics Service Provider’s performance development with an end to end approach. In this role you will report to the Category Manager Mid-Receiver Units.
