Job Description

For our branch in Lausanne, we are looking for a committed, open and communicative personality as a Data Protection Expert.

In this role

The Data Protection Expert is the interface between the Data Protection Strategy/Program and the departments/entities of the Group which are processing personal data. Similar to a Business Analyst, he/she is able to translate Privacy principles and requirements in regulations such as Swiss FADP, GDPR or other industry specific laws (e.g. Health) into applicable Software Feature requirements, IT requirements, Human processes requirements, etc.

Reporting to the Group Data Protection Officer, he/she can be detached in entities which need support (e.g. SecuTix, iPension, etc.)

  • Collaborate with Group DPO to implement the Data Protection Program & Maintain the Records of Data Processing for the various entities
  • Serve as primary contact for all privacy questions across the group, coordinate with / escalate to DPO
  • Participate in Software Design, Process Design, IT Architecture Design to ensure Privacy-by-Design
  • Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA)
  • Prepare the company for certification (e.g. ISO 27701, GoodPriv@cy)

Aside from the main responsibilities, he/she can be assigned to other security and privacy related tasks and serve as Deputy DPO.

About your profile

  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 6-10 years of experience in IT and/or IT Security
  • 5 years of experience in a Privacy / Data Protection role such as DPO or GDPR Implementer
  • Experience in multinational companies
  • One or more privacy related professional certifications are highly appreciated (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, CDPO, etc.)
  • Broad knowledge of Privacy challenges in international companies
  • Mastering the FADP & GDPR regulation
  • Ability to read contractual agreements and DPAs, negotiate changes
  • Ability to audit
  • Good inter-personal, influencing and communication skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English & French
