We are currently seeking Data Scientist (m|w|d) for our Validation Confidence® business based at our headquarters in Goettingen, Germany (Sartorius Stedim Biotech). In this position, you will be responsible for modeling complex problems within Confidence®, discovering insights and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining and visualization techniques.
What you will accomplish together with us
Develop and implement automation and data strategies for sterile filter and virus clearance validation
Automate creation of documents such as validation protocols and validation reports for sterile filter validation, E&L testing and virus clearance validation
Analyze data produced within Confidence® laboratories with the goal to develop concepts such as sterility-by-design and virus clearance-by-design
Design experiments, test hypotheses, and build models
Conduct advanced data analysis and complex designs algorithm
Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
Mine and analyze data from databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies
Identify available and relevant data, including internal and external data sources
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
Develop experimental design approaches to validate findings or test hypotheses
Assess, with the business, the expected qualification and assurance of the information in support of the use case
What will convince us
A Bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics or computer science or related field; Master degree an advantage
Extensive proven experience of relevant quantitative and qualitative research and analytics experience
Solid knowledge of machine learning algorithms
Familiarity with basic principles of distributed computing and/or distributed databases
Strong, effective communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in English (writing, reading and speaking)
Excellent project management and communication skills
Team-oriented, engaging, and positive attitude towards internal and external stakeholders
Self-sufficient, target oriented, and self-motivated work style with a positive attitude
Willingness to travel (20%-30%)
