What you will do:

In this role you will act as Supply Chain Coordinator, providing comprehensive, high quality support, planning time and prioritizing workloads to ensure the team carry out their role efficiently and effectively. You will develop your understanding of the team’s contribution to the delivery of our business objectives, as well as those of each business group within AstraZeneca’s global organization.

You will coordinate operational Supply Chain activities within AstraZeneca Switzerland in collaboration with the Supply Chain Business Partner, the Logistic Service Provider (LSP) and AstraZeneca internal and external customers.

You have the professional knowledge/qualification in Supply Chain / logistics operations and/or distribution operations, such as transportation; or work on issue resolution with LSP, create, run and review reports and solve day to day issues with relevant stakeholders like LSP, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Commercial.

Responsibilities include:


  • Master data maintenance (Creation and change of: Customer Master Data, Article master data, Prices and Conditions)
  • Daily reconciliation of interface between LSP and AstraZeneca (Master Data, Sales, Stock)
  • Sample process, Processing and release of special orders, Manage day to day activities (Internal and external Customer requests, Complaints, Returns, Expediting…) with all relevant stakeholder.
  • Proactive issue resolution
  • Monthly Inventory reconciliation
  • Check Invoices for delivered goods (Netting Tool Review)
  • Support Price change process (evaluating data, creating documents; reporting to Alloga)
  • Support of New Product Introductions
  • Assure timely reporting according to global/regional requirements
  • Support ad-hoc queries and projects in area of responsibility
  • Perform Internal Financial Control within Supply Chain
  • Support Finance team during month-end and year-end closing
  • Tracking open orders/ back orders


  • Follow local legal requirements, such as GDP, Safety, personal rights.
  • Conduct activities and interactions consistent with Company values and in compliance with the Code of Conduct and supporting Policies and Standards relevant to the role.
  • Report timely and proactively potential issues of non-compliance (AZ Standards, Quality, SHE).

Skills and Capabilities Required:

  • Basic education and knowledge of procedures
  • Experience in Logistics/supply Chain operations
  • Hands on mentality, can-do attitude
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Collaborative team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understand and navigate successfully cross-functional dynamics
  • Flexible, proactive, customer oriented
  • Process oriented, well organized, able to prioritize
  • Fluency in English and German is essential, French is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office and web-based systems, SAP knowledge (MM) a strong plus
