Your mission :
We are looking for a highly motivated and independent research technician, who will assist with fieldwork and data management in our project on temporary streamflow processes. You will be in charge of the installation and maintenance of our wireless sensor network and Arduino-based sensor systems in the steep Alptal research catchment near Zurich. You will occasionally assist with conducting field campaigns where we collect streamwater samples and map the flowing stream channels. Most of the field work will take place in the Alptal catchment, but field work can also occasionally take place near Lausanne in the Haute-Mentue catchment. Field work will be regular during the field season from May to October and can sometimes last several days. In addition, you will read out data loggers and import data into our database. You will perform initial data cleaning using software like R, Python or similar.
