For our Operations & IT Wealth Management Team in Zurich we are looking for a

Senior UNIX Engineer (100%)

As a Senior Unix Engineer you will help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems.

Job specification

  • Responsible for managing technical projects as a lead engineer
  • Maintain UNIX / LINUX operating systems in a core banking environment
  • Administrate and tune various application stacks (e.g. jBoss, Java)
  • Maintain monitoring systems (e.g. Splunk)
  • Oracle Virtualization and Oracle DB experience is an advantage
  • Introduce App Containerization (e.g. Docker)
  • Delivery of projects in an agile methodology

Required profile

  • Diploma/BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject with at least 7 years of experience
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX / Linux based environments
  • Fast learner and eager to take on new challenges
  • Responsible and persistent in pursuing a target
  • Motivated, reliable, flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a high pressured environment
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving attitude
  • Fluent in German and English
