About the Role

Where would drug discovery be without automated cellular imaging? Where will it go once the field is transformed by artificial intelligence-based analyses of the resulting images and data? Genedata is redefining the game in the utilization of cellular imaging to discover new and improved medicines. Will you help us in charting our path?

As a Business Development Manager for Genedata Imagence you will join us in a discovery journey. Your expertise in imaging technologies for drug discovery and development will be the basis for a deep understanding of business-critical imaging applications. With these insights we want you to find those areas ripe for digital transformation, research the requirements for the software to underpin it, and guide us along the way towards commercial success.

Your Responsibilities

• Identify and characterize trends in the use of cellular imaging at different stages of drug discovery and development
• Assess current solutions and discover unmet needs in image data processing and analysis
• Establish partnerships with key opinion leaders and industry partners
• Translate market needs into software requirements
• Estimate the value and market potential of the resulting software solutions
• Generate new leads and empower the organization to make new business

Skills & Experience

• PhD in Life Sciences or related field
• Domain expertise in a drug discovery/development application involving cellular imaging (toxicology, cell-line development, CAR-T research, in vitro disease models, …)
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a pharma/biopharma/biotech setting
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to translate scientific needs into software product requirements
• Willingness to travel (20-30%)
• Previous experience with business development or strategic marketing is a plus
• Previous experience with machine learning approaches and their technological potential is a plus
