The role:
We are looking for an outstanding Junior Product Merchandiser to join our Timberland PRO Apparel Product Creation team in Stabio, Switzerland.

The candidate will support the Merchandise Managers to analyze and understanding of the market situation, needs and product performance and producing the merchandising plan. The candidate will also support the Merchandising Department in all administrative duties necessary for the team to achieve its goals and objectives.

Primary accountabilities:

Analyze

• Collect quantitative and qualitative data to support the Merchandising Manager’s analysis, liaising with the Global Merch Planning team
• Competition: understand the needs of the target consumers and competitive environment by desk research and occasional field visits
• Sales: continuous follow up of the sales forecasts and performance of each channel and category to provide data to respective Product Merchandise Manager
• Product: Understand the product life cycle and SKU efficiency and support the management of this under the direction of the Merchandising Manager
• Ensure accurate and regular data reporting, liaising with Global Merch Planning team

Plan

• Able to map and generate analyses of the market situation per category and areas thanks to the collected data for all Product Merchandise Managers
• Support the seasonal SKU selection and allocation thanks to data analysis and market specific requirements
• Accountable for the line list build up, by style, colour and maintain the data accuracy
• Support the process of seasonal sales-men sample order from selection up to market allocation

Brief

• Maintain a close collaboration with the Design and Development team to confirm accuracy of the projects as well as provide further info when needed
• Ensure that the brand Marketing team has the requested content

Execute

• Ensure a constant evaluation of launched items by seeking market feedback and product performance check within directive set by Product Merchandising Managers
• Establish a close collaboration within the sales structure to get feedback and insights
• Follow up on the line list exactness in terms of product information, segmentation information, product drop.
• Maintain and update the line plan and PLM (Enovia)
• Support Product Line meetings as needed
• Maintain the showroom to ensure all samples displayed are correct and updated when necessary

How You’ll Make A Difference…

• University degree or (equivalent) in Business, Merchandising or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience in branded merchandise/development, retail buying or product design/development experience
• Be able to work in a multicultural environment
• Experience in Workwear Brand will be considered as a huge plus
• Good knowledge of Apparel categories to implement focused GTM process.
• Understand the different Distribution channels and their complexities
• ‘Can do’ attitude

• Good communicator
• Team oriented
