EMEA Regional Digital Business Unit Manager

Location: multiple locations possible across EMEA

As part of our Eaton’s global digital journey, we are looking for a leading digital thinker, to lead the EMEA application of the global Digital growth strategy, with a proved record of execution within the B2B environment and being able to operate within a matrixed environment.

Essential functions include:

  • Owning the definition and execution of the digital growth activity within a wider coordinated segment strategy for Data Centers and IT infrastructure, Utilities, and Industrial applications.
  • Locally own and manage the delivery of the EMEA Digital offer within the focus segments.

This includes:
o Offer positioning and promotion direction the sales and marketing teams
o Digital offer P&L Ownership
o Digital Lifecycle offer management
o Local Technical Support platforms

  • Locally define and manage the EMEA partner network of Channel, Resellers and Integrators needed to execute our strategy.
  • Functionally manage Global Digital Office resources within the EMEA region, and participate in the Global Digital office leadership team.
  • Functionally manage the regional sales hub. This includes all digital selling resources embedded within the sale zones, ensuring capability development, consistent best practice deployment and sales execution.
  • Functionally manage the Digital project execution with resources embedded within our Services organization, both within the central Projects Organization as well as embedded within country service organizations.
  • Collaborate with the BaaG (Buildings as a Grid) Business Unit on all digital initiatives, to ensure consistent strategy.
  • Collaborate with the regional VP Engineering, to ensure consistent application of software and connectivity platforms.

The role will directly manage:

  • Business development roles charged with overseeing the development of all digital activity within their relevant segments
  • EPMS Business Development manager. The EPMS activity should be closely developed with the EMEA segment management within Data Centers, Buildings and Energy Transition.
  • Utility Business Development manager focused on Network Management and Grid stability services. Own the overall digital roadmap associated with Grid connectivity
  • Industrial Business development manager
  • EMEA software partner program manager, managing the partner network of integrators, installers and specialized resellers needed small project deployment via the channel
  • Cloud Services Manager, tasked with developing digital service offers deployed though the Services organization
  • Technical support (functional for Tier 1) and directly for Tier 2 and 3
  • Functionally manage the Digital Project management and Digital service engineer within the service organization.


  • Min Bachelors Degree in engineering or Business Management
  • Preferably minimum of 5 years business / sales / operations management experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing people
  • Understanding of specific markets and products, digital services and solutions
  • Previous sales experience desirable
  • Excellent executive level communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written
  • Experience leading complex programs in a matrix environment
  • Proven Leadership skills – capability of leading change in an integrated team environment across multiple teams
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Demonstrated experience in developing business strategy, planning, and budgeting.
