Job Description

In relation to the support of a purchasing team, a leading manufacturing business is currently searching for a committed and motivated Project Manager Purchasing 100% (f/m/d). An opportunity has arisen for the Project Manager Purchasing 100% (f/m/d) to manage KPIs, execution & implementation of Sourcing Projects. This vacancy is a full-time role with an assignment duration of 12 months.

The responsibilities can range from analyzing BU business plans and product/BCC roadmaps, developing data analytic dashboards/metrics as well as process tasks to support development of global sourcing excellence strategy and its performance.
During this assignment you will act a key member of the Sourcing organization and work closely with Global Category Sourcing Managers, Supply Chain, Engineering, QM, Suppliers, and Finance teams.
You will also be responsible for ad-hoc projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Project management ownership of Sourcing Projects from transition (Category Sourcing Managers) to implementation (Sourcing Project Manager)
  • Proactively drives improvement ideas and streamline implementation of sourcing strategies with other team members
  • Utilize, challenge, adapt and manages processes, data and tools for souring performance management
  • Independently manage collection, adaptation, builds automated periodical mechanism of data analytics to facilitate effective strategic decision making
  • Partners with Supply Chain/Quality/Engineering teams to model and document inventory ramp up and ramp down to support on time/on cost productivity project implementation

  • 3-5 years of working experience in related field (i.e., sourcing, data analytics, project management, supply chain, etc)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to work across regions and functions and proactive to lead interdisciplinary project teams
  • People person; strong ability to communicate and influence
  • Strong project management, data analytics, and productivity tools (i.e. Teams, Power BI)
  • Ability to learn new systems, meets objectives and works independently in a matrix organization – Minimal supervision
