About this opportunityAlign Technology is looking for a Business analyst who can double up as a scrum master as part of the growing Digital Commercial team in Switzerland. This exciting role would be part of a culture that is helping to improve lives every day through digital dentistry.This role will be part of Align Technology’s goal to deliver our clear aligners (Invisalign®) and 3D scanners (iTero®) to our customers. We would love you to join a fun and cutting-edge technology company that has helped create over 8.0 Million Smiles.The individual in this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of solutions based on web platforms. This role would require collaboration with cross functional teams from Sales, Marketing and Commercial Excellence functions to translate the business request into system requirements. As a Business analyst cum Scrum Master, the candidate will be a contributor in the execution of the strategic direction for the company. The success of this position will be measured by the Expectation management with key stakeholders and timeliness of applications delivery
In this role, you will…

  • Collect and rationalize business requirements with internal stakeholders
  • Work with Business Stakeholders to ensure that any backlog is prioritized and that requirements are clear and ready to develop
  • Document system requirements for implementation
  • Ownership and maintenance of a feature catalogue
  • Become the point of contact for business feature requests and functionality enquiries
  • Capture and own stakeholders insights to feed into feature and development prioritization
  • Proactively propose and drive improvements to the software and processes
  • Produce accurate process and data flow diagrams with the help of technical team
  • Oversee the Agile processes within company, bringing your experience and industry expertise to the team, and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Plan, initiate, facilitate and oversee release of sprints
  • Report on and coordinate releases with business units
  • Remove impediments raised by the development team to improve flow and velocity
  • Ownership of complex and high profile customer issues, working with colleagues, both within and outside of the development team, to resolve
  • Ensure that scrum values, practices and rules are enacted and enforced
  • Support team building and development, creating a culture of openness
  • Support the delivery of the requested commercial feature in an agile setup
  • Guide/Mentor onsite/offshore team towards effective execution

In this role, you’ll need …

  • BS/MS degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 8+ years in the software industry
  • Customer centric requirements analysis
  • Good working knowledge of Atlassian suite (Jira and Confluence)
  • Ability to produce internal and external documentation as needed
  • Effective communication and information reporting
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills with the ability to understand and support onsite/offshore team members
  • Development or Operations experience (Good to have)
  • Agile project management techniques (Good to have)
  • Expertise in Project management methods specially in Agile with scrum (Good to have)
