To support its strategy in the field of Food Safety, the Food Safety Research Department at the Nestlé Institute of Food Safety and Analytical Sciences is seeking a Junior Research Assistant.
As a Junior Research Assistant you will bring a strong contribution to advance the incorporation of our platform of high performance thin layer chromatography coupled to bioassays (HPTLC-bioassays) into the testing of toxicological endpoints. You will develop, standardize, implement, and apply assays on this platform to address food safety relevant questions.
A day in a life of a Junior Research Assistant:
Identify new and existing cell-culture and microbial based bioassays to be coupled to high performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC)
Assessment of quality parameters and investigations of possibilities for improvement (sensitivity, specificity, limit od detection)
Liaise with external collaboration partners and suppliers to optimize and implement for Nestlé-specific fit-for-purpose applications
Develop data interpretation approaches and ensure trouble-shooting. Present data internally and externally
Propose and execute experimental activity plan regarding the application of HPTLC-bioassays in NR-projects
