We are currently seeking a Regional Medical Liaison Manager - General Medicine (fieldbased, part-time 60%) to join our Medical Team in the Swiss Affiliate, based in Rotkreuz, Switzerland. The main purpose of this role is to m aximize Amgen’s value propositions through medical and scientific projects, services and expertise for benefit of patients (according to Corporate and European strategies), to c oordinate the implementation of medical affairs (MA) programs in local territories with Sales Representative and Development Field Operations representatives as well as to s upport Medical Advisor in developing local territory MA tactics of a therapeutic area or product. Furthermore the successful candidate will i mplement MA plans in the field and executes POA, p rovide scientific communication on request and proactively where appropriate as well as medical insights for medical and brand plan.

Additional responsibilities include:

Scientific Expert (SE) Engagement and Data Discussions

  • Identifies, develops and maintains collaborative relationships with current and future Scientific Experts (SE), Brand Advocates, cooperative groups and key external audiences in cardiology/lipidology
  • Develops and implements local SE Plans, with local brand team and in agreement with COP
  • Works with Sales Representatives to ensure prioritization of key SE
  • Ensures medical/legal excellence and compliance

Study Support / Evidence Generation

  • Identifies new research/study opportunities in collaboration with Medical Advisor
  • Works with development field operations to ensure prioritization of site selection across assigned territories

Market Insights, Access & Value

  • Inform competitive intelligence, patient journey and report SE feedback
  • Develops required qualitative and quantitative insights reports ; collates competitor information

Internal and HCP Support

  • Ensures timely response to medical inquiries
  • Implements and disseminates high quality medical and scientific educational programs; gives clinical and scientific presentations at sites/cooperative groups/ hospital formularies
  • Delivers targeted internal training

Your profile:

Minimum Requirements

  • Medical or scientific education or experience from similar positions
  • Advanced degree (e.g. PhD, MD) preferred or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training
  • Three years of experience in industry, or a related scientific field in academia
  • Medical / scientific research experience
  • Willingness to travel within Switzerland; valid driver’s license
  • Excellent project management and presentation skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Scientific expertise in bone/nephrology disease and related products, disease states, and interested in latest discoveries
  • Experience in affiliate Medical Department or Clinical Development
  • Experience with clinical study management and conduct
  • Knowledge of value messages, clinical outcomes and patient benefits in cardiology
  • Understanding of Swiss health care system and decision-making processes
  • Knowledge of commercialization and business practices
  • Good knowledge of clinical research, drug safety, legal and compliance environment
  • Willingness to continuously expand medical, scientific, market, and industry knowledge
  • Network of customer contacts in Switzerland
