The Industry Data Management (IDM) holds a portfolio of Business Intelligence solutions for the travel industry, including Direct Data Solutions (DDS), Ticket Tax Box Service (TTBS), Airline Cost Management Group (ACMG) and Mileage reference data. These are key services supporting revenue accounting, pricing, corporate planning, network planning, all essential airline commercial activities; main clients include airlines, airports, global distribution systems and IT providers.
Services within the IDM portfolio have expanded considerably in the last few years. Forecast shows a continued growth in the number of passenger traffic and development of multiple airline distribution channels, this will drive then need for robust data solutions with an extended industry coverage. Reporting to the Head, Industry Data Management, the Assistant Manager, Data Quality will be responsible for supporting data collection activities, administration of web based applications and client support of one or more of the existing solutions: DDS, Ticket Tax Box Service (TTBS), ACMG and/or Mileage services.
The Assistant Manager, Data Quality responsibilities include:
Responsible for administration of web-based applications and lead the development of technical specifications for product enhancements, following business requirements, to ensure an optimal user experience;
Handle data quality initiatives for one or more of the applications in the team, monitor established Quality KPIs, Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance from vendor(s) and stakeholder(s) and keep a pipeline of incidents for future enhancements;
Supports Manager(s) in the data collection and validation of information obtained from multiple industry sources. Participate in industry engagement campaigns as required;
Develops training and related material, conducts webinars and trial sessions for users and prospects. Maintains airline expert communities online, supports the team in the preparation of external events and conferences.
Qualifications and Skills
BSc in information technology, accounting or finance;
3-5 year airline business experience in commercial or operational activities, preferable in the areas of airline distribution, revenue accounting and/or customer services. Experience in analytical and quality assurance roles preferred;
Previous experience working as part of IT development project teams, as a solution support specialist or similar role. Able to liaise with vendors, ITS technical partners and monitor the implementation of functionalities and maintenance of web applications;
Advanced analytical (Excel, Tableau, Power BI) skills, command of MS Office and current versions of commonly used web browsers is required. Knowledge of SQL and web administration is a plus;
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, patience when handling complex cases, capable to work in multicultural teams;
Highly proficient in spoken and written English, working knowledge of additional language(s) is a plus.
