Expert for Optical Measurement Systems (100%)

to work at our headquarters in Zürich and in the Greater Basel area.

Your main responsibilities
Product development and design of high performance, robust and affordable measuring solutions in the

field of optical measuring and testing devices, from the concept study to series production

  • Utilize modular designs to expand the product portfolios and offer variants in efficient product setups
  • Test and analysis of optical subsystems to specify and track performance measures
  • Work closely with electronics engineers to optimize the optoelectronic systems, and with mechanical

engineers and external suppliers to make solutions ‘producible’ in series production

  • Interdisciplinary cooperation with experts and product management to understand market requirement
  • Project lead for internal and external projects

Your qualifications
Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Optics, Optoelectronics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

  • Experience in development optical instruments (min. 5 years)
  • Very good knowledge in optical design
  • Work experience in an interdisciplinary high-tech product development environment
  • Hands-on experience in testing and characterization of opto-electrical components and systems
  • Target oriented, analytical mindset and structured working style, flexible
  • Team oriented and good communication skills, enthusiastic
  • Fluent in English; German is beneficial
