We're on the hunt for a DevOps Engineer who is driven and self-motivated to join Global ITs DevOps team.

What You’ll Be Doing 

At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what our volunteers are responsible for – their mission. The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission. 

The mission 80’s for this role, are:

  • Responsible for implementing and leveraging reporting & data to quantify DevOps performance & efficiency.
  • Responsible for defining and evangelizing DevOps best practices across our company.
  • Responsible for working closely with developers and engineering teams in day-to-day support operations.

Additional responsibilities of the role include: 

  • Design and operate Cloud Foundry (PaaS), OpenShift and Openstack environments 
  • Working with cutting edge technology, while aiming to use Open Source
  • Application Performance Monitoring and Log aggregation at scale 
  • Automation and performance tuning across the customer facing technology stack

Qualifications

Are You Qualified?

  • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration including troubleshooting & debugging
  • IaaS/Private Cloud/ Public Cloud (VMware, OpenStack, AWS)
  • Containerization/ PaaS (CloudFoundry and OpenShift)
  • Understanding of Microservices deployment mechanisms
  • Continuous Integration (CI) tools (Concourse, Jenkins, etc.);
  • Networking (SDN) experience required
  • Strong scripting skills to automate common tasks (Ansible, bosh, Puppet and so on)
  • Programming experience in the likes of Python, Go, Ruby
  • Experience in an agile environment with flat hierarchies
  • Strong communication skills, preferably experience working in a global team
  • Team player with a focus on the big picture and overall success of the customers, the team, and Solera 
  • Passion & commitment to quality 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and team oriented environment, where change is constant & needs to be managed
  • Willing to work flexible hours
