Job Description

In order to support our Digital Transformation & Innovation Project, FIFA is looking to recruit a solution-oriented and self-motivated Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic vision and development of the Business Intelligence function overseeing enterprise-wide reporting and analytics functions for the FIFA Digital Transformation & Innovation Unit. You will make data-driven decisions in collaboration with senior leadership and also work closely with stakeholders in other departments to identify and design analytics solutions satisfying key enterprise information and business intelligence needs. You will develop recommendations based on continuous stakeholder outreach and work with technology and business team members to meet business needs. In close collaboration with IT, Commercial, Communications and other FIFA divisions, you will be accountable for leading the strategic design of business intelligence platforms to drive a higher level of data democratisation, self-service analytics and overall growth in digital behaviour.

Your duties

  • Collaborating with business unit leaders to define business and systems requirements for new information technologies, particularly in the areas of business intelligence (BI), analytics, and data warehousing
  • Leading, guiding and advising on research design, project management and analysis for media measurement programmes, media landscaping analysis and desk research/issues mapping
  • Overseeing all reports, dashboards, and information artefacts
  • Researching, developing and defining business KPI metrics
  • Ensuring BI best practices are established and maintained for all initiatives, organisational objectives, and benefits realisation
  • Defining the short- and long-term strategies for the BI/analytics model to ensure effective delivery of information that meets current and future requirements
  • Defining a Corporate BI roadmap to secure the strategic objectives are achieved following a plan
  • Driving the adoption of BI principles across the business by championing new and innovative approaches that will best utilize available data to answer key business questions
  • Providing leadership, mentorship and ongoing development to our Business Intelligence team, focusing on the ongoing growth of individuals and maturing the overall department
  • Presenting observations, insights and recommendations to executives and key stakeholders to update findings and results that lead to better business insights and improved decision-making
  • Designing rich and dynamic dashboards and visualizations to support the identification of new data trends and to unlock impactful insights that will drive business growth
  • Having a mastery of experimental design, analytical methodology, statistical modelling, testing, segmentation and forecasting
  • Conducting research and staying up to date with emerging technologies and solutions in order to support future data management procurement efforts

Our requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; advanced degree or certification in analytics and/or statistical analysis/methodologies preferred
  • 7-10 years’ progressive experience in research, business intelligence and analytics, managing teams and/or projects, developing customised research programmes supported by sound research skills with the ability to extract and analyse data to uncover key insights
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms including Qlik, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Google Big Query, Microsoft BI, Salesforce, SAP and DOMO
  • Track record of successful implementations that deliver value to the business, resulting in measurable business outcomes, while demonstrating exceptional business acumen
  • Ideally experience in designing and conducting qualitative fieldwork and analysis
  • Experience with Project Management, SDLC and agile methodologies and Big Data required
  • Experience with Machine Learning and AI is a plus
  • Experience in defining enterprise analytic models and experience with different data visualization techniques and tools
  • Ideally some experience in influencer identification and strategy
  • Fluency in business English and good knowledge of one or two additional FIFA languages (German, French and/or Spanish); clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
