As Team Lead of Team "Blofeld", one of our Finance Teams in the Order Management Area, you lead a team of skilled and passionate Software Engineers. You own the realm of "Accounts Payables" - where several million supplier invoices flow through automated pipelines each year, keeping DG's relationships with hundreds of providers running smoothly and its books clean. And you care for "General Ledger" - the financial backbone that turns the complexity of one of Switzerland's largest e-commerce operations into reliable, verifiable data for the company and its management.

Your responsibilities

  • You foster and challenge your team members, actively accompanying them on their development journey
  • Close collaboration with the team, the Product Owner, and the Software Architect ensures shared success
  • As an Engineering Team Lead, you are hands-on in the design and engineering of innovative solutions (our Engineering Team Leads write code too)
  • Your technical expertise and leadership instinct contribute to a motivating working environment

Your skills

  • With more than 5 years of experience in software development, you bring solid, well-rounded expertise
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role
  • Excellent skills in Software Engineering - ideally gained in the context of event-driven, distributed systems at scale. Experience with C# and Python is a plus
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities in English
  • Experience in agile software engineering and DevOps (CI/CD, automation, configuration management, and deployment tools)
  • Ideally, you have experience integrating LLMs/VLMs in your solutions that solve real business problems. You've also invested in evaluating those solutions, proving correctness and surfacing metrics relevant to business stakeholders
  • Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (and bonus point if you’re familiar with Google BigQuery)
  • The capacity to adapt to ongoing changes in the work environment as well as using creativity and initiative to solve problems and achieve goals
