Your role with us
As Data & Analytics Lead, you will shape our company's data-driven decision-making foundation and ensure that insights from data create real business value. You will lead an interdisciplinary team, develop the data and insights strategy, and drive innovation, efficiency, and growth through data-driven decision-making. Working closely with management and specialist departments, you will ensure that data and market information actively contribute to value creation.
- Team leadership & strategy development: Disciplinary and professional leadership of the Data & Insights team as well as continuous development in the sense of agile and lean-oriented working methods.
- Data & Insights Strategy: Development and implementation of a company-wide data strategy and roadmap for using data for growth, innovation and efficiency.
- Business Impact: Significant contribution to translating data into concrete recommendations and strategies for increasing customer value, performance, and business success.
- Architecture, Processes & Lifecycle Management: Design and further development of a scalable data architecture as well as efficient processes and tools with a focus on quality assurance, automation and sustainable software and data lifecycle management in line with corporate goals.
- Market Intelligence: In cooperation with the specialist departments, development of a systematic monitoring of market, competitive and price developments for the early identification of trends and opportunities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Close collaboration with virtually all business areas, such as management, marketing, category management, operations and product development, to integrate data-driven insights into strategic decisions.
- Culture, employee development & knowledge transfer: Building and promoting a strong data culture throughout the company, targeted coaching and development of your team, and enabling all employees to use data securely and effectively.
- Project responsibility: Prioritization and management of projects and initiatives for the implementation of the data strategy, including lifecycle management and continuous improvement of data-based processes.
What you bring
You combine analytical strength with strategic thinking and leadership qualities. With your deep understanding of data, technology, and business processes, you design data products and services that deliver results. Your mindset is collaborative and solution-oriented – and you enjoy developing people and organizations.
- Education: Completed university degree (UNI/FH/ETH) in business informatics, natural sciences, mathematics, engineering or a related field.
- Leadership experience: Several years of experience in the disciplinary and professional management of teams as well as in coaching employees; confident in the use of agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Industry knowledge: Relevant experience in data-driven e-commerce (B2C), ideally with a focus on the further development of omni-channel strategies.
- Technical Expertise: Solid experience in developing interactive and automated methods for evaluating and utilizing large, dynamic datasets. Broad technical understanding with a focus on tracking mechanisms and concepts, as well as their implementation. Proficient in data warehouse architectures, data modeling, ETL processes, and data orchestration.
- Data and analytics expertise: Experience working with Power BI and semantic models, as well as sound knowledge of SQL and DAX. Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and the Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery. Experience with Python and a strong affinity for data visualization are advantageous. Additionally, experience with Google Analytics 4 and server-side tracking is desirable.
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken German and English skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex issues clearly, convincingly and in a way that is appropriate for the target audience.
