Business Analyst with a focus on data management 80 - 100%

The Statistical Office supports the Canton of Zurich on its path to a data-driven administration. Together with our partners, we are laying the foundation for modern, efficient, and collaborative data management. Starting in August or by arrangement, we are looking for a Business Analyst with a focus on data management (at least 80%)
to strengthen our Data team .
Your tasks
- You will coordinate, organize, and support the development of a data mesh, including through broad-based data governance and a data platform for the cantonal-wide reuse of data. You can find descriptions of the digital transformation projects here.
- You will assume responsibility for sub-areas of governance and platform, develop concepts, analyze corporate architecture and processes, and derive concrete next steps from this.
- You bring together various stakeholders, identify their needs, bundle them in a structured manner and prioritize them from a technical and business perspective.
- You proactively inform about progress and innovations and train administrative staff in the handling of data and the data platform.
This job is for you if
- You are a talented organizer with a structured, independent way of working and you impress those around you with your open, user-centric and pragmatic attitude.
- You have proven experience in requirements engineering or business analysis and a background in data architecture or strategic transformation projects in the area of data management
- You can also communicate complex topics in German in an understandable and appropriate manner.
