Job Description
In this key role, you will report directly to the Head of Data and assume responsibility for the development and implementation of our data analytics and reporting strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, UX, and other stakeholders, to foster a strong, data-driven culture.

- Your mission: As Team Lead Data Analytics & Reporting Platform, you are not only a leader, but also a coach, mentor, and strategic partner. You actively promote a data-driven mindset, strengthen your team's autonomy, and enable them to successfully apply data-oriented principles. You always maintain an eye on a holistic and functional data architecture that supports the company's goals.
- Technical and personnel leadership: You lead, coach, and develop your data analytics team and foster a culture of learning, personal responsibility, and technical excellence. You support your employees, who work directly in cross-functional teams, in their personal and professional development and ensure optimal utilization and efficient processes. You work closely with the other data teams, product leads, and stakeholders to optimally implement requirements and ensure the greatest possible benefit for our employees and customers.
- Technical responsibility and implementation: You will be part of the data department and actively contribute to the conception and development of sustainable, scalable technical solutions. You will be responsible for consistently high-quality analysis, conception, and implementation options for all involved data roles. You will ensure the integration of various data sources to provide a comprehensive overview of company performance. You will actively design and validate the data, tracking, and tagging architecture and develop clean interface definitions and modular components. You will conduct analysis reviews to ensure the quality of the analysis and its possible applications and share your knowledge with your team in pair programming sessions.
- Planning and Collaboration: You will support your team in independently specifying and estimating development efforts in close collaboration with the product leads. You will work independently on analyzing and documenting technical and business requirements. You will coordinate with other teams and departments to effectively implement technical requirements.
- Quality Assurance and Operations: You ensure high development standards, deployment processes, and documentation quality. You continuously support and optimize development and test environments, as well as CI/CD and DevOps processes. You're not afraid to perform deployments, even on Fridays.
- Technological Innovation & Best Practices: You actively drive technological innovations and improvements, stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluate their potential for our platform. You support the selection and implementation of new technologies and established best practices within the team.
- Risk Management & Technical Debt: You proactively identify technical debt and implement targeted measures to reduce it. You monitor and actively respond to potential risks in your technical responsibilities.

This is what you bring with you
- At least 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting or related fields, including at least 1 year in a management role.
- Proven experience in building and leading highly skilled data analysis and reporting teams.
- Solid practical experience with data analysis technologies and concepts, including data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience in agile development environments and the application of methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical skills, quick comprehension and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and understandably.
- Passion for technological innovation and continuous improvement as well as the ability to identify and proactively manage technical risks.
- Experience with asynchronous data replication and data mesh architectures to optimize data management.
- Experience in budget and resource management as well as strategic technology planning.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related field or a comparable qualification.
- Active exchange with the data community and regular contributions to open source projects are advantageous.
- Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in data analysis is an advantage.
