DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

In 2017, the Data Network Services division of Axpo Power AG merged with their long-standing partner WZ-Systems AG to form today's Axpo Systems AG. As an independent subsidiary of the Axpo Group, it serves as the competence center for OT (Operational Technology) solutions within the corporation.

As a leading general contractor, we implement holistic, custom-made, and crisis-resistant solutions in the areas of radio, microwave links, systems engineering, infrastructure, and telecommunications. Our services span from project management to implementation, as well as ongoing service and operations.

As a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining critical IT and OT infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. This job requires a holistic understanding of systems, networks, cloud services with a focus on automation, driving the transition towards Infrastructure as Code (IaC) wherever feasible.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Continuously improve design and optimise current Infrastructure
• Technical Lead in Projects in cross functional teams (networking, firewalling, etc)
• Contribute to the integration of systems into existing operation processes and OSS / BSS (Monitoring, Alarming, etc)
• Take an active role in the operations team, solving incidents and finding sustainable solutions to problems
• Instruct and teach other departments on how to use CI/CD workflows for their tasks (staging, operations)

Profile and Skills:

• Know-How in designing and building critical infrastructure
• Understanding the separation between IT and OT Systems and their handling
• Familiarity with Agile methodologie
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
