Together with your team colleagues, you will support the supervision of the Swiss financial market through data processing, analysis and visualization and, among other things, further develop the methodology of the supervised rating system - also using innovative methods and technologies.

main tasks

  • Head of the team Supervisory instruments and fundamentals of data-based supervision
  • Expansion and optimization of the tools for data analysis and reporting
  • Further development of the methodology of the FINMA supervised rating system
  • Establishing governance and centralising analyses and reports to improve supervision of supervised entities
  • Management of the Data Innovation Lab, using machine learning methods such as natural language processing
  • Coordination of the provision of data as well as the use and development of processing tools in coordination with the IT department

Profile

  • Master's degree in data science, mathematics or a science with a tradition in the use of data
  • At least 5 years of experience at a bank, insurance company or other financial institution
  • Experience in processing and analyzing data as well as in preparing and reporting results
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning methodologies, as well as databases, SQL and programming languages ​​in the field of data analysis, e.g. Python or R
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, high judgment and assertiveness with a convincing appearance
  • Flawless written and oral expression in German or French (C2) and very good knowledge of the other language as well as English (B2).
