(Senior) Data Engineer – Edge

As a Data Engineer, you will work in an international, agile team of data scientists, digital product developers and platform engineers to develop high-performance data analysis services, design data pipelines and optimize processes for CEDES' IoT platform. As part of this international team, you will manage a global portfolio of IoT solutions for elevators and industrial doors.

Your area of ​​responsibility

• Writing ETL code (extract, transform, load; currently written in C++) to ensure that the ETL process runs optimally
• Implementation of data flows to connect operational systems and data for analysis systems
• Documentation of source-to-target mappings
• Redesigning manual data flows to enable scaling and reuse
• Support in setting up data streams
• Establishment of accessible data storage and repositories for analysis
• Finding ways to reuse existing data flows
• management of the structure of the data streams
• Optimizing the code to ensure optimal performance of the processes
• Head of Database Administration

We expect from you

• degree in computer science or data science
• Independent, punctual and team-oriented work combined with very good analytical skills
• Very good knowledge of C++ and Python, including typical data ecosystems
• Experience with version control (GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines for data applications
• Strong ability to solve problems and debug and optimize complex workflows
• Proven knowledge of data governance processes
• Clear presentation of the results (simple language, less technical jargon, visualizations)
• Trusted advisor in defining data requirements according to business objectives
• Good written and spoken English skills (other languages ​​are an advantage)
• Experience with cloud services is an advantage, especially with Microsoft Azure, especially with:
• machine learning processes
