The IT Data Solution team develops and operates source connections with Azure Data Factory and Terraform as well as data products and data mesh
domains on SWICA's central Azure Synapse-based data platform. You are therefore a central contact for data from various source systems, which are made available to our internal partners in a wide variety of forms. If you enjoy complex questions and the analysis, interpretation and processing of large amounts of data with Python, SQL and Spark in a complex environment - then you have come to the right place!

Exciting tasks

• Data pipeline development & maintenance : Development, extension and maintenance of business and technical components in the area of ​​source connections, data products and interfaces (Azure Data Factory, Synapse/Spark)
• Technical conception & implementation : Development and implementation of requirements in close cooperation with the specialist departments; focus on robust, scalable data engineering solutions (e.g. CI/CD with Azure DevOps & Terraform)
• Future-proof data models : Design and implementation of powerful data models that can handle different applications (e.g. machine learning or analytics)
• Data quality & data security : Compliance with legal and technical standards in data quality management and ensuring secure data processing
• Automation & Monitoring : Ensuring and continuously optimizing data product supply chains and monitoring processes to quickly identify failures or performance bottlenecks

This is what you bring with you

• Higher professional education in the field of computer science or computer science-related areas (technical college, university or other training)
• Very good knowledge of SQL and Python (especially PySpark)
• Experience in performance optimization of Spark applications
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Synapse/Spark)
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments (Azure DevOps, Terraform)
• Experience in data integration and master data management is an advantage
• Enjoy working in an agile team (Scrum, Kanban, Jira)
• Structured, independent and solution-oriented team player with a high level of quality awareness and enjoyment in automating development workflows and processes
• High affinity for dealing with large amounts of data and the ability to inspire others about the topic of data and information
• Fluent German skills (native speaker level) and good English skills
