We are looking for a Machine Learning & AI Intern to support our Research Digitalization team. This internship offers hands-on experience in applying AI/ML techniques to bioinformatics and drug discovery.

This challenging and diverse position will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Assist in developing machine learning models for analyzing and optimizing DARPin therapeutics.
• Explore feature engineering techniques to extract relevant insights from biological data.
• Support the implementation and tracking of predictive models using MLFlow.
• Gain exposure to large language models and generative AI for protein design.
• Work with cloud-based tools (e.g., Databricks) to manage and analyze large datasets.
• Help create interactive visualizations to communicate findings effectively.

For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated individual bringing along:

• Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of Python and interest in AI/ML techniques (e.g., classification, regression, clustering).
• Eagerness to learn about cloud computing and data processing (experience with Databricks or Spark is a plus).
• Understanding of biology or bioinformatics is helpful but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
