Specialist Data Science / Data Management ( 80% - 100%)
The data management team is the center of expertise for working with data in the field of statistics. We are a young, dynamic team that works in an interdisciplinary manner between IT and economic topics. We design, automate and operate efficient data pipelines, maintain data collections for economic analyses, support technical data evaluation and data science projects and introduce new technologies for end-user development and data science. You will be involved in the design of the data processes for the future collection of microdata from the lending business. In doing so, you will be actively involved in shaping the SNB's paradigm shift away from the collection of aggregated data to the collection of granular data. The place of work is Zurich.
- Independent conception and implementation of data processes for large, complex data sets;
- Interdisciplinary collaboration in the design of data processes and the further development of the system landscape around microdata from various economic sectors;
- Operation, development, automation and optimization of data pipelines (DataOps);
- Implementation and analysis of quality and performance metrics (KPIs) for processes and data collections;
- Internal consulting on data management and data science topics;
Your knowledge and experience:
- Master's degree from a university / technical college in the quantitative field (economics, business informatics, data science or similar);
- Solid knowledge of economics or finance
- Several years of work experience in the data field, including data analysis / data science and big data (granular data). Time series analysis and systems an advantage;
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python or R; elements of OOP;
- Strong analytical / conceptual skills (requirements analysis, data architecture, solution conception);
- Independent and entrepreneurial personality with strong communication, organizational and customer skills;
- Very good knowledge of German or French as well as English.
