The newly formed Data & Analytics team is the company-wide competence center for data. We ensure data quality, collect, link and analyze data from various sources in order to enable better business decisions and create added value using data products. As our first Data Analytics Engineer, you will build and operate end-to-end data solutions based on Microsoft & Azure technologies and lay the foundation for future work. If you are a data & analytics all-rounder and enjoy tackling data problems, have the courage to make pragmatic decisions and are interested in a variety of tasks, then you have come to the right place.

Your area of ​​activity includes the following main tasks:

  • Extracting, transforming and integrating data from various source systems to use it for advanced analytics and business intelligence
  • Administration, operation and technological development of our data pipelines and our data platform (Microsoft Fabric)
  • Collaboration with various departments, data analysts and external service providers to implement data and analytics projects/products
  • Ensuring the quality and integrity of the central data storage and supporting the departments in increasing their data quality
  • Creation of ad hoc analyses for complex or particularly large amounts of data
  • Establishing best practices for our data management and data governance on the data platform
  • Support IT with your expertise on interfaces, data exchange and data integration

You have the following qualities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science (or related field) or equivalent professional experience
  • Ideally, you already have several years of relevant professional experience
  • Relevant experience with databases/data lakes, ETL pipelines, BI, data modeling, SQL and Python
  • Competence in dealing with cloud services (ideally Azure & Microsoft Fabric)
  • Basic understanding of business processes and business problems
  • Practical experience with visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Practice with the following technologies PowerBI (DAX), dbt & Git (advantageous)
  • Know-how in the energy sector, with load profile data/time series and SAP (advantageous)
  • Experience with machine learning and the productive deployment/operation of data products (advantageous)
