Job Description
In this role you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and validating functionality for the next generation of our industrial digital printing press software targeted for the packaging and label industries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications for various printing systems, including printing presses, HMI and equipment commissioning systems.
- Optimize existing software solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement and test software on R&D machines, production machines, and at customer sites.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to printing and software development.
- MSc or BSc in computer science, Software Engineering, Mathematical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, ideally in industrial context.
- Excellent knowledge with a proven track record in C# and .NET
- Good knowledge of C++ 20.
- Well versed with OO design and with SOLID principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills and fluent in English.
- Familiarity with PLC, HMI systems and communication protocols (e.g., OPC, REST)
- Positive team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for testing and deployment as required.
- Pragmatic, energetic and proactive.

The production site of Mex, near Lausanne in Switzerland, is also the headquarters of the Bobst Group. It is the most important site, employing approx. 1500 passionate people.
