Your tasks

Data Governance: Together with your team, you are responsible for setting up and expanding the cantonal data governance and managing the data board. You also maintain the data community within the administration in close contact with our stakeholders.

Open Government Data: Together with the Data Engineering & AI department, you are responsible for managing the data portal and publishing OGD. You are responsible for supporting the content of the publication process, including assessing the data in terms of data protection law.

Data catalogue: The Statistical Office is responsible for setting up and maintaining the cantonal data catalogue. You and your team will closely support the departments in entering and updating their metadata in the data catalogue.

Registers and master data: You are responsible for maintaining the cantonal building and housing register as well as supporting the authorities in setting up thematic data spaces, harmonizing attributes and joint data management.

Member of the Management Board of the Statistical Office: Together with the other department heads, the staff management and the office management, you form the management board of the Statistical Office and are thus jointly responsible for the strategic development of the office.

your profile

Experience: You enjoy working in a data-related environment; experience in public administration, preferably in a management position, is an advantage.

Personality: You are an open, communicative person with a strong interest in data and you like to take on responsibility. Your quick comprehension and strong strategic thinking help you to quickly get to grips with new challenges.

Education: You have a university degree at master's level and can look back on several years of work in an environment relevant to this position.

Language: You communicate in perfect German, both written and spoken; knowledge of a second national language and English is a plus.
