The Department of Computer Science at OST comprises three institutes and two study programs at two
locations. For the «INS Institute for Networks and Security» we are looking for a
Professor for Industrial Cybersecurity (m/f/d) (80%-100%)
In this demanding and varied role, you will work on the further development of the
cybersecurity department.

Your tasks:

  • You shape the Cybersecurity Competence Center in teaching and research with your expertise.
  • You build your research team in your field.
  • They teach at Bachelor's and Master's level and supervise student work.
  • You independently acquire and process internal and external research and
    development projects and are involved in external training.

Your qualifications:

  • You have a university degree in computer science or a comparable field,
    ideally with a doctorate.
  • You have at least one professional specialization in the area of ​​cybersecurity, e.g. hardware security, IT/OT security, AI in cybersecurity, malware and ransomware, cloud security and have several years of practical experience in your field.
  • You have proven experience in project acquisition (industrial projects and
    funded research).
  • You have experience in teaching at tertiary level, ideally also a
    additional didactic qualification.
  • You have a good network in your field and in Swiss industry.
