Data Scientist position
Annaida Technologies SA is an innovative Swiss startup headquartered in the vibrant EPFL Innovation Park, Lausanne. We specialize in cutting-edge medical device development, aiming to revolutionize assisted reproductive therapies (ART).
We are looking for a Data Scientist to contribute to the development of advanced data analysis strategies to find new insights in Annaida’s biological and chemical datasets.
Main responsibilities:
- Optimize processing of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) signals and spectra, through the extraction of features and definition of biomarkers.
- Design and build classification models to predict embryo development.
- Developing code, shared libraries, and simple GUIs useable by the team.
- Document methods and results.
- Present research findings to colleagues and collaborators and contribute to publications in peer reviewed journals.
Qualifications:
Required:
- MS or PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field
- Good knowledge of statistical analysis.
- Previous experience in signal processing (transforms, denoising, etc)
- Previous experience with machine learning (neural networks, PCA)
- Experience in programming languages: Python, C/C++, MATLAB
- Independence and organizational skills to achieve results efficiently
- Soft skills to interact with partners and build new collaborations
- Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with NMR or biological data
- Previous experience in image processing and/or image-based machine learning
- Swiss or EU citizenship or Swiss work permit
- Professional proficiency in French and/or German
