PowerBI Architect with Data Engineering experience

We are looking for a PowerBI architect for our customer, a telecommunications provider in southern Germany. You will help the company set up the PowerBI environment according to best practices, migrate the existing Cognos reports to PowerBI and understand how to use the complex Oracle Enterprise Data Warehouse environment so that it is seamlessly integrated with PowerBI.

Your tasks include:

• Design and implement a robust Power BI environment taking into account best practices and business requirements.
• Integration of the existing Oracle Enterprise Data Warehouse with Power BI, including optimization of data flows with regard to cloud integration.
• Adaptation of ETL processes for efficient data extraction from Oracle.
• Creating complex data models and DAX calculations in Power BI.
• Implementing security and governance policies in the Power BI environment.
• Consulting and training of specialist departments on the effective use of Power BI.
• Continuous optimization of data architecture and processes.

Your profile:

• Several years of experience as a Power BI architect and data engineer in complex enterprise environments.
• Solid knowledge of working with Oracle databases and enterprise data warehouses.
• In-depth understanding of ETL processes and data engineering practices.
• Experience in integrating on-premise data sources with cloud-based BI solutions.
• Expertise in DAX, PL/SQL, SQL und ETL Tools.
• Relevant knowledge in implementing data security and governance.
• Understanding of data modeling and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Analytics is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
