Your tasks

Our business unit METTLER TOLEDO Weighing and Instrument Components (MTWIC) develops and produces PCBAs, force sensors and hardware and software platforms for the entire METTLER TOLEDO Group. For our "Production Software & Support" team at the Nänikon-Greifensee location, METTLER TOLEDO's global operational headquarters, we are looking for a committed and independent person as a Software Engineer C# .Net 100% (all genders).

Our team is responsible for ensuring that the production software used in production functions smoothly. We produce complex products such as measuring cells, PCBAs, terminals, precision scales and others at our Swiss site. A wide variety of software is required to manufacture these products, which we develop and operate ourselves on site. Become part of our innovative team!

In this role you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • You are responsible for the adaptation and integration of new technologies into existing software solutions in the production environment
  • You develop concepts and architectures for software and enterprise infrastructure, including requirements analysis and effort estimation
  • You are responsible for consulting and supporting the design and adaptation of our software solutions
  • You will work closely with our sister unit in China
  • You support the development of CI/CD as well as testing according to internal guidelines and quality assurance
  • They also support the planning and rollout of the tools into production and provide employee training

your profile

We have the following requirements for this position:

  • You have a university degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • You have at least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, ideally in an industrial high-tech environment
  • You have good SW development experience in the areas of .NET Ecosystem (.NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET Standard, C#), MSSQL, GIT, Unit Testing, NuGet
  • Your experience with Agile Development, SCRUM and/or Extreme Programming methods is a great advantage for this position
  • You are interested in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in production software
  • You ideally have experience in using software in production environments (MES, OPC-UA and machine control)
  • You are a responsible, independent personality
  • Her advanced English and good German language skills complete her profile
