Embedded Software Engineer Charger Solutions

Research and Development delivers hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people, hearing care professionals, and further related people, in the form of hearing devices, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software.
For our rechargeable hearing devices, our chargers are very relevant. As an embedded software engineer in the charger team, you will be working in an interdisciplinary team. Besides driving the software development and the software design for the chargers, you are also involved in various interdisciplinary designs and decisions, e.g. together with the electronic engineers and power management specialists.
 
Your tasks
  • Embedded software development for chargers
  • Specification, implementation, testing and documentation of real-time embedded software
  • Development and maintenance of corresponding development tools
  • Interdisciplinary design decisions, e.g. with electronic and power management engineers.
  • Continuous integration and testing of the charger software. Integration of the software with the charger hardware and in the hearing system.
  • Alignment and with verification engineers, e.g. for test case specifications.
  • Contributing to requirements and to planning, e.g. with effort estimates
Your profile
  • University degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or an equivalent qualification
  • 3+ years’ experience in embedded software engineering and object-oriented design
  • Driver development experience, RTOS knowledge and preferably also modern C++ know-how. Wireless know-how is an advantage.
  • Know-how in Python, continuous integration or test frameworks is a benefit
  • Methodical and systematic approach to problem solving
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
