Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious data analyst who is passionate about sustainability and data-driven business. In this role, you will work with ecoinvent users and data providers to enhance the metals sector of the ecoinvent database.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for diverse projects aimed at improving and developing the core structure of the ecoinvent database and the expansion of its coverage.
  • Desk research tasks, deep dives into metal production processes, and providing analyses to the sector manager. Reviewing datasets for data provision projects.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as data providers, to guide them through the data preparation and submission process.
  • Support the communication efforts of ecoinvent, reinforcing support for users of the ecoinvent database.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mining, Metallurgy, Materials Science and engineering or a related field a must.
  • Preferably a minimum of one year of industry experience in mining, metal processing, or a related field
  • Experience in LCA, practical or theoretical, and the ecoinvent methodology and data is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English; any other language is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Python coding
  • Basic modeling skills.
  • Self-motivated attitude, systematic thinking, and strong attention to detail.

You will work independently and alongside internal and external collaborators, so good interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and a can-do attitude are essential.
