DevOps Engineer (A) Log Management & Monitoring

For our customer, a large bank in the Zurich area, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer in the area of ​​Log Management & Monitoring.

Please note that due to current Swiss legislation, we can only consider applications from Swiss citizens, EU citizens and people with a valid work permit.
Remote work from abroad is not possible.

 

Tasks

• Development and consulting to improve our ELK stack based log management solution
• The log management system is operated on the basis of Linux RedHat 8 and OpenSearch/OpenSearch Dashboards as a cluster solution (9 nodes)
• Improvement of scaling / automation (Ansible) due to constantly increasing logging requirements (volume, data storage, security)
• S3 Storage is now being added and further developed for data storage
• Analysis and optimization according to best practice
• Onboarding additional sources and new releases
• Improve and further develop existing log management solution
• Operation, maintenance and patching of the environment or the complete framework
• Define and implement new requirements / optimization measures
• Support in case of failure: Availability within an 8x5 support model

Requirements

• Know-How in den Bereichen: Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Opensearch, Kafka, Filebeat, Syslog, Ansible, S3 Storage Tiering, Redhat
• Experience with the following technologies:
  • Opensearch / Opensearch-Dashboards / Kafka / Filebeat / Logstash / Elastic-search / Unix (RedHat) / Rsyslog / Ansible
• Fluent German and very good English skills

Soft Skills

• Communicative, motivated and independent personality who likes to take the initiative and work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to develop innovative solutions to solve challenges with creative approaches
