Data Management Specialist EMEA
Join FMC’s Data Management team, where you'll play a crucial role in managing and ensuring the quality of R&D biology data. Your efforts will ensure that high-quality data is generated, captured, analysed, and visualised efficiently, enabling our R&D teams to make critical decisions for FMC’s portfolio. You'll manage key processes within the R&D organisation, collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Global Data Management, regional R&D, and Global R&D IT, as well as with third-party vendors like Contract Research Organisations.
Responsibilities:
- Data quality control of experimental protocols and resulting biology data
- Data management: Data entry support with ability to identify and/or develop automation opportunities, support in improving interface between systems, ensuring quality publishing in internal database
- Support Technical Managers with database queries and analysis/visualization using internal software applications
- Training and Troubleshooting – Help peers understand how to use custom applications, by providing training material, giving presentations, and individual discussions.
- Contact point with Application owner(s) at FMC – Responsible for application(s) working as expected, troubleshooting, maintaining a backlog for additional enhancements, and granting access to users.
- Project Owner – Oversee planning and execution of small projects, typically a proof of concept for a new, more complicated enhancement, related to one of our applications.
Your qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), Power Query, Power BI, SQL, and statistical software.
- Experience with Electronic Laboratory Notebooks, Spotfire, or similar data storage and visualization tools (a plus).
- Familiarity with ARM (a plus).
- Strong follow-up and communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience working with large datasets and integrating different systems/software.
- Background or knowledge in Agricultural Science, Biology, or related Life Sciences (a plus).
- Proficient English speaking skills
