Executive Director, Head of Data Science & Product Insights - Evinova

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Data Science to lead our dynamic Data Science organization. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, harnessing data-driven insights, and advancing our mission to transform the clinical trial landscape and drive product performance and revenue for Evinova. Reporting directly to the President of Evinova, the successful candidate will be responsible for guiding our data science efforts to build value, drive growth, and achieve our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive data science strategy that aligns with the company's goals and mission.

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and encourage a global team of data scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

• Data Strategy: Define data collection, management, and governance strategies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance, specific to biomedical strategies

• Innovation: Drive the exploration and implementation of advanced data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to discover new signals and enable novel measurement in healthcare.

• Clinical Trial Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategies for optimizing clinical trials, reducing costs, and accelerating time to market.

• Technology Integration: Identify and evaluate new technologies, tools, and platforms that can enhance data science capabilities and improve decision-making.

• Data Partnerships: Establish partnerships and collaborations with external organizations to access additional data sources and expand our capabilities.

• Data Ethics and Compliance: Ensure data practices adhere to ethical standards and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and GDPR.

• Communication: Effectively communicate insights and findings to collaborators, including executives, clinicians, and technical teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

• PhD or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics).

• 7+ years of experience in data science, with a strong background in the biomedical space including experience with healthcare data, clinical trials, and digital health technologies.

• Proven record of leadership and experience leading a distributed team.

• Significant experience in delivering data science and AI products into production for the generation of business value.

• Deep expertise in machine learning, data analytics, and statistical modeling.

• Technical credibility, strong project management and organizational skills as well as proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to navigate sophisticated regulatory and compliance landscapes.
